<description>If there is a factual error in your listing, please notify the volunteer editors by using the Update URL feature in the category where your site is listed, but note that editors are expected to follow the editing guidelines ( http://www.dmoz.org/guidelines/describing.html ) when writing titles and descriptions, so they will almost never use what is suggested by the webmaster. Therefore please don&#039;t try to request a longer or more hyped description, because the editor may see only that and reject the whole Request as inappropriate.

Like reviewing site suggestions, processing Update Requests is just one of many editing activities available to volunteers, so there are no time frames involved, but in general, Update Requests are given a higher priority, because they often relate to quality control.

Once you have suggested a site, there is nothing more you need to do. The ODP is not a listing service, so there is no requirement for an editor to use the pool of suggestions when looking for sites, but we welcome those suggestions as one of the resources available for editors. :-)
